Today Is NATIONAL CLEANUP DAY (YOU CAN Make A Difference In Your Community)

Today, 9/19/2020 is National CleanUp Day and is celebrated annually in the United States on the 3rd Saturday of September. It promotes both organized and individual cleanup events and volunteering to keep the outdoors clean.
According to Hiram and Shirley Wells, when we opened Sweeten Creek Coffee this year we wanted to give back to the community. In addition to providing great coffee, we offer fresh locally sourced food and friendly service. We buy our coffee from sources that support FRIEND2FARMER, a hand-in-hand outreach that goes beyond "Fair Trade Programs" to develop better coffee and a better quality of life for small plot farmers, their families and their communities.
Locally we wanted to give back. We love spending time outdoors, so we decided as a business to partner with Adopt a Highway and Adopt a Stream to clean up litter on Sweeten Creek Road and along Sweeten Creek that runs by Sweeten Creek Coffee.
Today we encourage local businesses or individuals to consider adopting a local highway or stream and make a difference.

Adopt a Highway local sponsoring partners provide trash bags, safety vests and trash pickup tools to businesses and individuals that adopt a highway or stream. Volunteer now and help keep Asheville’s outdoors clean.
Stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee with us.
