SUNDAY 11/15 IS NATIONAL RECYCLE DAY: HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP !!

This Sunday, November 15 is National America Recycles Day that promotes recycling and purchasing of recycled products. At home and work practice the "3 R's" of waste reduction—reduce, reuse, and recycle—IT IS IMPORTANT- we all need to do our part.

HOW CAN YOU HELP:  throwing away water bottles pollutes America’s waterways and landfills at a rate of 60 MILLION BOTTLES PER DAY. Reduce THAT number by using portable reusable drinking bottles, cups and water filtration devices.  REPURPOSE, REUSE by buying products made from recycled materials or shopping at second hand stores. USE your local non-profit resale stores. Your PURCHASES MAKE A DIFFERENCE and help those in need. DO WHAT IS GOOD for the environment and GOOD for your community.

Tips for Work:  Engage and motivate coworkers to buy green products and help reduce waste
•Purchase recycled paper
•Keep a recycling bin near your desk
•Instead of printing hard copies, save on a hard drive or email to yourself to save paper
•Make the printer environmentally friendly
•Pay your bills via e-billing programs
•Bring lunch in reusable containers instead of disposable ones

Tips for Home:  Engage and motivate your family members or roommates to buy green products and help reduce waste.
•Think green before you shop
•Purchase and use supplies made from recycled products
•Keep waste out of landfills by using minimal packaging and buying in bulk
•Recycle your cans and bottles after you finish eating
•Set up a composting program at your home

OUR LEGACY is OUR PLANET handed down to the next generation.
