NATIONAL COOKIE DAY- FRIDAY DEC 4

This Friday is National Cookie Day on December 4th.
The English word “cookie” comes from the Dutch word koekie, meaning “little cake.”
The cookie originated in Persia in the 7th century, when sugar became common in baking. It then spread to Europe when the Muslim came to Spain. Cookies were commonly eaten in Europe by the 14th century.
Cookies came to the United States in the 17th century. Macaroons and gingerbread cookies were popular early American cookies. Most popular cookies today are:
