Did You Know "Chicken and Waffles" Has It's Own National Day?

Savory and sweet collide on October 20th. We don’t do waffles, but Sweeten Creek Coffee certainly Does Do CHICHEN POT PIE which is our take on sweet and savory.

As odd as it seems, chicken and waffles have been around for more than 150 years, but Chicken Pot Pie has been around a lot longer. And while no one knows who first put chicken and waffles on the same plate together, we do know the meal was a staple of both African-American cooks and the Pennsylvania Dutch.  Both Chicken Pot Pie and Chicken and Waffles unite friends and families, communities and organizations, and multiple generations.  Could it get any Better?
